The South Church Senior Youth meet most Sunday evenings during the church year from 4-5:30 pm at our Court St. building. The youth program strives to be a place of community, service and empowerment.  We build our group bond and community during weekly meetings, field trips, overnights and service learning projects.  Senior Youth gives our teens an opportunity to continue to foster their spiritual selves and make meaningful connections with other youth through shared experience.

Social justice and service learning are central to the Unitarian Universalist faith and to our mission here at South Church.  Our Senior Youth group engages in many service opportunities and fundraiser throughout the year including a bi-annual group service learning trip.  These projects and trips contribute to creating lasting bonds among our young UU’s and encourages them to get involved in service areas important to them and to the community.

Our volunteer adult advisors and paid youth group coordinator work together to help facilitate and maintain the special space fueled by the energy of South Church Senior Youth.  Through discussion, worship and activities we hope to foster reflection and deep witness in our group as well as a simple sense of fun.
